My boss is asking me if Adobe Bridge or Lightroom can be used as a digital asset manager. Can it?

Both are, however they are not intended to take the place of a DAM server solution. Lightroom has a one-user database and Bridge doesn't have any way to collaborate.

What tasks do you need to accomplish?

We want to have a way to store all our images and videos and make them searchable - using tags.

Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, and Bridge can all work as an effective personal DAM, but they won’t work for you if this is for a team, or if it needs to work from a server.

Team-based DAMs require a higher level of flexibility, brand management, network access, and security. I’ve listed a few below. I don’t have any experience with them so I can’t provide opinions or details about them, but they can be a starting point for your team’s research.

To clarify - can it be used for my team as an DAM?
