Labels have vanished

Help please. I've been working in my new version of Bridge, but suddenly, the tabs/panels on the left-hand side have changed, and I can no longer access the view that shows me the labels & ratings-  i.e. how many files are red, yellow, green etc. This is the only way I can edit my files as I neede to filter them by label, but this is now impossible. I've wasted hours searching all over Bridge but have no idea why this view has vanished nor how to get it back. Please see screenshot - I have a bunch of useless tabs in that panel - metadata, workflow, collections,  export - but nothing showing me the labels. I have ticked 'labels' in View, so surely they should be visible? They were there earlier today, so I don't understand what's happened to them. I would be grateful for any advice as to how to get them back, and also how to make Bridge more stable so it always keeps the same workspace properties all the time! Thanks

Thanks - I was actually looking at the filter panel, but the 'labels' option wasn't opening to actually show the labels; but now it seems to be working !

Attributes will only show if there is more than one choice. So if all your files have the same label, you won't see that category.

Thanks, but they don't all have the same label. That's the whole point; I need to filter the images by green / yellow / red so I can process them, but I can't unless the 'labels' option is visible. In some views the labels option is there under 'filters', and other times it just vanishes; it's driving me crazy! My old version of PS was much simpler and worked fine; this new version seems to have so many bugs and weirdnesses.

Labels are stored by text value, not color. And if there is more than one label among your files, the filter value will be there.

Thanks, but not sure I follow this - the 'text value' & colour are inseparable - the text (select/second/approved etc) is already assigned by PS - but I still can't always see the labels filter... 🤷🏻‍:female_sign:

The label color is not stored in the file, only the text. If the label is one not specified in Bridge preferences then it will appear as a white label. A filter only shows if there are different values to filter on. If every file is labeled the same, no filter.
