lost edits

i edited a whole batch of pictures,when i transferred it to a desktop folder all the edits got lost. how can i retreive??

Did you use Bridge or the operating system to move? I'm guessing the OS and that your .xmp sidecar files didn't transfer.

What kind of images (raw, JPG, ??)?

What is your operating system (and what release)?

What releases of Bridge and ACR are you using?
