Opening .docx in LibreOffice is not possible

Hi
When I have .docx or .doc files in Adobe Bridge, they always open in WordPad instead of LibreOffice. I can't find the file type in the presets at all. So I can't change the assignment. Any ideas?

Go into Bridge's Preferences/Settings, go to FileType Associations. Look for the suffix you have, that you want to open into a specific application, find that application, and you should be good.

What program is Windows set to open the .docx or .doc files?

Many times even though there is no specific listing for a file association

in the Bridge>File Type Associations Preferences, Bridge will

list such a file under Open with using the same program Windows itself is set to open such a file.

You can add your own file types to the Bridge File Type Associations menu.

LibreOffice Writer is defined as the standard program in Windows to open .doc and .docx files. I have to try add these file types manually. Thank you.
