After upgrading to the latest version of bridge, Photo Downloader doesn't stopped recognizing images from my Nikon D500 cards. It says, "Device Does Not Contain Any Supported Media."
Video of the problem attached. The card contains images, but Photo Downloader doesn't find them.

Hi, @Wes Duenkel
Just out of curiosity, have you set your system prefs to access any folder or device? If you have, have you done it since the latest Adobe or Mac OS update?
Here are the instructions if you need them.
[Note: if you are using Ventura, the look of this has changed. But what I show below is sufficient for you to figure out what you need to do.] Go to your System Preferences and select Security and Privacy (found in the top section). Now click on the Privacy setting (last tab). Now click on the lock on the bottom left and provide your Administrator code. Now select the Full Disk Access option and click on the "+" symbol. This will bring up the standard Mac Open window and let you add any application you want or need to have full access. Look for Bridge, and select it; it will now appear in that window, and make sure it's checked. Next, go to the Files and Folders option and do the same thing as above (although there's nothing to check, just add. Close everything down and see if that makes it all work.
Please let me know
[Note: these images are from an older OS, the process is the same.]

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us. To better investigate the issue, could you please share the following information?
1. OS version
2. Details of the card
3. From the video it seems you are trying to import the images directly from the camera. Could you please confirm?
4. Could you please try importing the images using a card reader?
5. To confirm, are you facing a similar issue with previous versions of Bridge?
We might reach out to you with some debugging steps to investigate it further. Could you please share your work email id?
Thanks,
Bridge Team

1. OS version: Mac OS 11.7
2. Details on card: SONY XQD
3. No, downloading via XQD card reader
4. No, did not have this problem with previous versions of Bridge. I reinstalled Bridge 2022 and it works fine. Tried Bridge 2023 and it doesn't work. It's an issue that only happens with Bridge 2023.

I am running OS 13.2.1 and Bridge 13.0.2.636
When I put my CF card in the reader I get Bridge Photo Downloader opens with "No Device Found", Get Photos from <None Detected> while menu item "Import from Device" lists the card and will download. This is a poor workaround because it doesn't auto convert to DNG or put the © info into the file. Please repair... I need this for my work!

Found that running a hardwire from my Nikon cameras to the USB ports on my card reader brought up Photo Downloader and it's running normally. Inconvenient but it's a solution.

Hi, @czitzmann, first congrats on finding a solution (hopefully not necessary once this is fixed).
However, I'm having a problem understanding your solution. Are you using a Card Reader, or are you connecting your camera directly to your computer via a USB connector? If your camera is connected to the USB port on the card reader, how is this connected to the computer, or is that from a WiFi link?
Sorry for my confusion; I'm just trying to picture this.
Thanks for any information.

I used to have an iMac (now a Mac Studio), and Apple's placing the card reader on the back of the iMac seemed "curious" to me. I also just used a card reader. Now I place my cards into the front of the Studio (where card ports should be located).
But I'm still trying to wrap my head around how you are doing this. Is it camera -> card reader -> computer? If so, what card reader? All of the card readers I've seen have one USB cord that goes into the computer. That's it. What USB cord or plug is available to do the 2nd attachment?
Sorry for being stuck on this, but I'm just trying to understand.

I got the idea because I have a lightning (apple) wire attached to my desktop mainly for charging my iPhone but every time I hook up my phone it brings up Photo Downloader and displays all the photos on my phone. Bit of a nuisance, honestly. But even the problems I have with P.D. not recognizing cards in my card reader, the hard wired phone was showing up and functioning perfectly.
Here is my D810 connected thru my Sabrent card reader. Downloader working just fine.
Here is my CF card inserted into my card reader (I have the same results using other card formats)
The resulting Downloader from CF card directly into card reader
Note that connecting my D810 directly into USB on the back of my iMac also gives a perfectly good Downloader function but is a nuisance to do it that way.

Hi, @czitzmann OK, your card reader is also a HUB. That was the one thing I was missing. The only card reader I've seen are just card readers. Essentially you could have used any USB HUB to do the same thing, correct?

Didn't know there was a distinction but I do believe you're correct.

Running Ventura 13.2.1, Bridge 13.0.2. Using Prograde CF Card Reader USB C with SanDisk Extreme PRO 64GB. I'm a month away from needing to download thousands of photos. I noramlly rename and cull in Bridge. Bridge cannot detect my CF card. My workflow does not permit me to import to Lightroom first because I need the speed of Bridge. Adobe please fix this!!

Hi, sharonpacker@mac.com As far as I know, there is an issue with Extreme cards that the Bridge team is having issues with. This is not a new issue and has been perplexing Adobe for some time. However, the Finder is not having this issue.
One solution that some are using is to manually transfer the files from the card to your computer via the Finder. Once there, the images can be processed just fine with Bridge for renaming, etc. If you convert your images to the DNG format (as I do), you can use Adobe's DNG Converter.
I wish I could tell you more, but I, like most of us here, am just a volunteer and do not have channels for Adobe's future secrets.
I'm sorry but until this is fixed, using the Finder might be your only solution.

Thanks. My work around is to create a folder, click into my CF Card Reader, drag and drop all photos into a folder. After doing that, I can open in Bridge, cull, rename. It is just not the way I prefer to work. I never had this issue until Bridge 23.

As I have reported previously, I have had success by "hard wiring" my cameras to my hub rather than inserting my memory card into the hub. I really depend on Photo Downloader to convert to DNG and insert my © info into metadata. This somewhat inconvenient approach seems to work well.

I don't use a hub. I directly connect my card reader to the computer. I work in sports photography and need speed in downloading, culling and renaming....all of which had been done in Bridge for well over a decade. I have to find a way to make Bridge work for me. There are two excellent programs for PCs to do what Bridge used to do, but nothing for Macs.

This is still a problem with the latest update of bridge. 13.0.3.693. This NOT an issue with Bridge 2022. I use photo downloader perfectly with Bridge 2022, but for some reason bridge 2023 doesn't play well with Adobe Photo Downloader. Very frustrating.
