Photoshop CS6 Extended DVD installed without Bridge

I reinstalled my copy of PSCS6 today and Bridge did not get installed. I checked in Local Disk C/Users/[=]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe and I have Camera Raw but not Bridge. It activated as normal, and opens DNG files with Camera Raw.

Windows 10 installed with compatibility settings, Window 7/Administrator only.

Is there a download of CS6 Bridge available without downloading the full CS6 Photoshop? As my activation is on the DVD this wont work for me.

I googled the error codes and came up with a useful discovery.

I didn't want to reinstall again, and on a previous occasion I was unable to install Adobe Bridge CC 2018, so …

Regedit/ HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Bridge

I changed the key to xBridge, and restarted the PC.

I was able to install Bridge CC 2018.

Bridge is working with access to Camera raw, and I am happy.

Only flaw is that I cannot link Bridge with PSCS2 as it was installed to C:\Program Files (x86)\Photoshop CS6\x64 and it assumes i

Actually Bridge CS6 would be installed in C:\Program Files\Adobe and/or C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe

There should be an entry for Bridge CS6 in the windows start menu.

Or you can use File>Browse in Bridge from within photoshop cs6.

No I checked there too. I have Program x86/Adobe/Acrobat and  Program x86/Photoshop CS6. No other Adobe files at that level.

There is a bridge folder in the Common files but it isn't an application.

File/Bridge in PSCS6 gets an error screen saying that it's not installed. Same for Mini Bridge. But in What's New, Mini Bridge pops up but does not allow me to populate it.

Try the photoshop cs6 installer from here:

Download Adobe Creative Suite 6 applications

Also, you shouldn't need to run photoshop cs6 with any compatibility settings on windows 10.

I tried this but the installation completed without changing anything or adding Bridge.

Should I uninstall CS6?

This post explains why to uninstall dvd version, then install the downloaded trial version plus the already registered id number won't activate again.

Downloading Photoshop without a disc drive

Is there a way of locating the bridge files on the original dvd so I can install them? I know that I can install an activated PS but it's the Bridge that failed to install.

Re compatibility settings, the DVD failed to autorun, as my settings required no action. I hit the PS exe file on dvd which failed to run until I tried compatibility settings for Win 7. I didn't try any other settings as PS runs fine.

I will try autorun once I change dvd settings, and will update you.

Why did you need to reinstall cs6 in the first place?

Are you installing on an administrative account?

Are you installing on another drive besides your boot up drive?

Is your windows 10 32 or 64 bit?

You could uninstall cs6 run the Creative Cloud Cleaner and the reinstall cs6.

Thanks so much for your interest, I have been busy with other things so only tried your suggestion today.

This is my home PC so yes it is an administrative account by default.

I had a series of crashes on Windows 10 and needed to reset so I tried to reinstall CS6 from the Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended DVD. It says its preactivated on a pre-registered and pre-paid license. The license that appears on the Photoshop version has 20 digits and isn't recognised by the Adobe ID account.

Windows 10, 64bit, installed on C drive as it defaults to Program x86/Photoshop CS6.

I used the Creative Cloud cleaner today, and reinstalled on the DVD.

I installed it without any compatibility settings, and each time it opens I need to confirm that I want this program to open.

I found that PS installed but Bridge failed again.

OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Pro

Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134

I located the Problem Details log; I have had similar logs for each time I tried to install
