Place in InDesign

Is there a way to script the File/Place/In InDesign option so that you don't always have to do it manually? A shortcut would be nice but I can't find any on this item.

Brad -

Do you want to do the Place from Bridge?

But the answer is certainly. The bridge script that makes a contact sheet in InDesign places the frames and images.

I'd just like to place say any images that are selected in bridge, onto the working page in indesign

That is not super comfortable but you may try: Alt f, p, Enter after you select file to be placed in InDesign instead of script.

Tried holding Option F P Return held down all at once, and nothing.

Tried Option F P Return punched in sequentially and it just opens in Photoshop.

I’m on a Mac btw, so maybe your work around is a Windows system wide command ?

Yes it's for Windows. I meant to do it sequentially of course. It's wierd that it places your image in Photoshop if I see on your screenshot that InDesign is as first. Anyway cursors works too, so try to use them before you press enter in that sequence

I see what you’re saying now — that’s still using the contextual menu to navigate to the command “Place” > “In InDesign.”

Control + Mouse Click (contextual menu on Macs) + “P, L” + Right Arrow + Return

Still too much work, for every image.

I simply want a shortcut keyboard command to the In InDesign command ?

Thanks anyway though.
