Preview and open 3D files in Bridge

As 3D is coming to Adobe tools through dimension , Substance and now Medium

I would strongly suggest that bridge could browse 3D files

You can now see dimension preview on bridge and thats great

I'd like to see .obj and .FBX as well as other 3D format and be able to open them in dimension from bridge

I know it wont be for tomoroow but i'd really like this to be taken in account as ther is no great 3D viewer out there

I agree wholeheartedly. Tomoroow has come, four years later, and having just downloaded Bridge, I'm glad it works with materials, but it doesn't look like it offers much of a solution for managing 3D models, not even those from the Substance assets library. I feel like I must be missing something.

I agree with the above.
Even now, I can't find an app that catalogs local 3D model files in my search.
So I use the UnrealEngine model list.
_
Also. I continue to use DeepExploration ver.5 (2008) and only view obj format.
("DE" is now "SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer").
_

Perhaps it would be better to wait for a catalog display to be released from Three.js or other sources.

I know that my reply is very late but there is an app called Eagle  that can view most of the 3D files, I believe, it has many good features, and it can preview all files, like PS, AI, Obj, and SSG, and have many good features like tags and organize, among other good things, but it has one downside that made me delete it. If they can fix this issue, this app will be a killer for all apps like this, especially Adobe Bridge. As you can see, in Adobe Bridge all you have to do is install it on a PC or MAC open it, and locate the driver to see the files, but Eagle is different and that's the downside, in Eagle you have to import files the app to create a library and this library is also stored in the Pc as well, for an instant, if you have a folder that called (PSD work) for photoshop that is 10GB in the PC now it will be 20GB because the library you made for Eagle will duplicate your (PSD work) folder in the PC, so I waste your space. Otherwise, its features are Amazing.

Thank you for your reply!

I have installed “Eagle” and confirmed that obj, fbx, pdf, and all major image files (jpg, png, tga, psd, hdr) are cataloged.
They are cataloged well and look good.
However, Maya (ma, mb files) and Blender (blend files) were not, even with Eagle's 3D plugin installed.

> Eagle will duplicate your (PSD work) folder in the PC

Sorry to hear that.
I see, I understand that I have no choice but to leave all management to Eagle.
