I keep getting this all of the sudden:
"There was a problem writing to the cache, file/ Volumes..... because of a disk error. The cache will be replaced.
I click ok, and I don't notice anything is wrong or odd.
The alert is highly annoying because now it's so frequent.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi larry,
Could you please try resetting the preferences of Bridge that might help:
Start AdobeBridge and immediately press Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) until the Reset Settings dialog box appears. Select all three options--Reset Preferences, Reset Standard Workspaces, and Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache--and then click OK.

Sahil

Thanks Rohit, it's a very broad page, so it's not worth much unless someone can get more specific. It seems to happen on all folders now.

Thanks will hold off on that because, there is no evidence that solves the problem. People who come online and say to reset your preferences use this as a catch all fix for all problems.

Hi Ken ,
Sorry to here that you are facing this issue. Could you please let us know the version of Adobe Bridge you are using. Also please let us know
1. OS version you are using.
2. The cache location is default one or customize.
3. Are you facing this pop up on any particular type of folder.
4. Do you have sufficient memory for cache generation.
Thanks,
Avinash

Avinash, I have not seen this in awhile, but it may come back...
What should I do?
Where do I look for memory?
No particular folder, but I've sen this over the years...

Would be nice if someone warned you that you loose al your favorites then and all the thumbnails need to be regenerated.
So then at least we could write the favorites down or backup them up from the register.
So this "solution " made my situation even worse.
