Very impressed with preset, ease. Much better interface than photoshop actions right?  Lot of issues though:   1- I TRIED TO dave to a different folder but it konked out after 1 image, any idea why? 2- at first ot was annoying when saved to the same folder, but now it's  ok because I see color next to the BW bue one image, one BW shows both as BW, how reset one to go back to color? 3- If you saved to another folder,  all orginals will open in BW how do reset all those to not have the filter applied back to color? Dont see how version matters, since 1993 and still a cyuptic almost unsable software, unless you willing to spends hundreds hours on it's impenitrable interface.  With apple preview able to redact quicly, that is also not easy software, but whew acrobot is beyond belief. ... View more

Creative  thanks for helping!   I don't see  Home, and Tools as you are showing.     I only see all tools, hence , cant find in the clumbsy software your prescipiton.  I can't find anything intuitive in Acrobat, it's truly a hall or mirrors.  Was able to get rolling in apple preview.. all tha basic, redact, fill, even brush, paint, can't find.  These things are well hidden!  Maybe Adobe make more money by making the software difficult and unusable, just a guess. No idea what that means....mark them I did solve issue using Apple preview.  Still have no clue how to: redact -- apply greyed out Use pen/ brush tool where is that hidden? Thanks Bernd, I'd need a good 6 months to read that page fully, but thanks apply , in lower left! Who would guess!  OK apply, the apply is GREYED OUT, so I cannot apply the simple change. Being redaction not work apply grey out, I tried fill, but fill also problem.  It does not fill, no apply fill or checkbox to get it to work.   And cannot even find a brush or painbrush,  which would be good idea too. Ok read page bit, apply hidden in lower right, but actually lower left, yet greyed out. I cannot send screenshot and bank numbers   Also, I chose fill but nothing happens. So still stuck ... The "resetting the preferences"  ....  Lets see what Conrad says.. Should never have to reset preference as we are now force fed, new versions contantly no? Of course, now that we get all these updates, they mangle all saved short cuts. Don't use all great keyboard shortcuts anymore as don't work from version to version, sadly, so guess nothing to lose,   But always suspiscoud of the catch all resetting the preferences, as usually rarely solves issues, and if offered quickly by zillions as a quick fix to issue.. all issues. Sorry for delay. jUst used smart object.  Never used them before. I've always done in past, merge visible at top and put unsharp mask there.  I think smart object (coverting the background) is even quicker/elegant.  I now have a layer below the bg called smart filter and below that called unsharp mask.  The UM turns on and off, and even when you double click it - can change settings. So far seem like an easier way than merge visible at top.    Question: I see disable smart filters, deltee filter mask, clear filters. Even if persist, delete smart filter.. yet oddly even after delete smart filer. I see that tell tell smart filter icon in the bg layer still -- you know the white page icon lower right with top right of page dog earled down. That never goes away?   Ah.. maybe scenarious where you want all the layers merged before sharpeing...... my adjustment layers are usually level for exposure, and color balance.. or not really.. U Mask on background would always be ok?   Also:  Cannot add a mask to the U mask in smart object?  (sometimes one like to paint out the sharpness in part of image)       ... View more
