Gary, thanks, actually not double below that just gives more grey space, double above that brought back search field. In any issue solved thanks! Not a very elegant way to bring that here or there, and notice I don't think it's even under view menu? or is it?

Frustrating lookng at image in Bridge, as the large previw images seem a bit out of focus, never look sharp even the sharp ones! Which I know are tack sharp. Anything one can do? thanks.

Never looked but are both checked, and still not working at all. so maybe bug with PS. I see threads where lot people have issues and the suggestions is always reset your preference, which not inclined to do oh well. So more important this new info thanks.

D Fosse thanks ok great, I got it! I was using the last two boxes as W and H, not two first fields. whew You would think after 20 years PS would label those spot on...none are labeled at at all, none... , not 1st , 2nd or mystery 3rd. Wow BTW, res did not change, started at 300 and stayed at 300 on my new test.

I have never understood well the confusing crop interface. I 'm trying to make a preset 900px x 900px But it says px/ inch which is it? px or inch? And when I drag out, I still get a retaangle not a square! ANd if I try to type px in 2nd box, wont allow cursor in. Stumpe thanks.

Conrad, I right click in finder and get this PS 2023 And then open is ACR So yes right click PS, opens in ACR.. But now also when drag to dock jpeg also opens in ACR. So now don't have way to have jpeg open in normal PS.

Rob great post thanks! My bad Rob /Andrew. The words are so similar and small in that acr file handling dropdown, I did not in fact have the correct one. Now I do. Still an issue! When right click finder, I only see PS 2023, I don't see open in ACR. Stranegly right clicking choosing PS 2023 opens the jpeg in ACR not normal PS. And even dragging jpeg on dock opens in ACR. But usually I don't want ACR... maybe 60/40. I'd like a right click or way to open in aCR or PS. (unless way to get to PS or dismiss ACR) if that all made sense.

Thanks, Andrew, where is that preference you posted? But what Id really like is to keep my preference in Mac finder to open jpegs in preview; and then in rare instances, open in ACR. I don't see a right click option in Mac finder for that or am I missing it?

To use enhanced super resolution on jpeg, must open in camera raw. I know easy right click from bridge, and I Love Bridge, but its often a nuisance to launch bridge, for just one image. HOw open in Camera raw 1 image on a Mac, from desktop, cant figure it out thanks.

Yes tried, does not work, does not reset, so this thread is at square one. Maybe somone else knows about this. Workspace Laryy not in Bridge, Brige on is the Main 4 wont reset, becuase reset it gone. Lori is a one one off, . just once used it. but that one would not reset either if needed.

Good call Andrew and for you, or others this final question on dehaze: It's like they create a selection/ mask / or gradient? on the fly? PS, dehaze, knows to create contrast on a flat part of image, yet keep the other part of the image normal? Quite amazing to me.

D, thanks, interesting but with dehaze, I can then get contrast in back part of a landscape (on a mountain range or seomthing in the background that looks terrible, washed out) that would take an enourmous effort with draining slection, masking etc... and I don't think too bad if judicious.. I still dont get how they do that... like they create a selection/ mask on the fly?

Thanks Conrad, lot to absorb and those intracacies are very hairy to understand, even for someone using PS for years; but I'm sure they are all real/ valid! Dehaze though something is else beyond, clarity/ texture (which still dont really understadn those two, sort blend of conrast and sharpening?) becuase with dehaze , I can see mountains in backbround clearly all of the sudden without effecting foreground.. What would that take in old days?.. very complex masking or graidents? I would not bother usually pre dehaze. so much work....

Per thanks, helps. Julianne's artile is good though may have to re-read it a few times. Before dehaze, what would you do? Make a mask to darken the sky and leave foreground alone? Texture/ Clairy still confusing, but here article will probably help a bit.
