Problems installing Image Processor Pro in Bridge (Win 11)

Hello!
I have an issue installing Image processor Pro on Bridge on a PC (I managed to install it for Photoshop),
Basically I wondered if anyone knew where to put
photoshop_ximage_processor_pro.jsx
as I got conficting advice
either in the common files

Which doesn't make much sense since I am not using the x86 file forder for anything (That's the "official doc advice")

Or placing in in the C:/user/appdata/roaming/.../startup scripts like I saw elsewhere

(basically the folder that opens when you show the start up scripts folder in the preferences)

Anyhow, neither of those options work for me, the Image processor pro doesn't appear in the tools>photoshop list

I remember always having a hard time installing this since the extention installer had disapeared (why, oh why?)

Any help will be graciously received,

Thanks!

In C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Startup Scripts CC

make a Adobe Bridge 2024 folder and put the Dr Brown Services.jsx in that folder.

Hi

Thank you for feedback.

We tried this plugin at our end and here is what makes this plugin work for us with latest Bridge and Photoshop versions.

  • WINDOWS:
Copy Image Processor Pro.jsx , Image Processor Pro.xml and Icons Folder at 'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2025\Presets\Scripts'
    Copy 'Dr brown services.jsx' at 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Startup Scripts CC\Adobe Bridge 2025'

  • MAC:
Copy Image Processor Pro.jsx , Image Processor Pro.xml and Icons Folder at '/Applications/Adobe Photoshop 2025/Presets/Scripts'
    Copy 'Dr brown services.jsx' at /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Startup Scripts CC/Adobe Bridge 2025'

Could you try the following instructions for respective platforms, and let us know if this works.

Regards,
Bridge Team

Thanks for testing!
I have screenshot your answer and will keep it preciously when comes the next install.

Bold question: Since the export feature in Bridge doesn't work as intended with me (Powerful PC, latest Bridge version)
Could it be considered to add such a function as the image processor pro (which have never failed me) in lieu of the export feauture (which fails me all the time, notably for PNGs).

There have been multiple bug reports about this glitchy PNG export feature and none of them have ever been addressed, I am just assuming that it would be best integrating something that works, directly within Bridge.

Thanks for considering it!

Hi. I'm trying to make IPP work back after updating to latest Bridge 2025 and nothing helps. Latest PS 26.0 can run IPP directly and it works fine, but I desperately need it in Bridge. I can add "Dr.Brown's ..." submenu in Bridge "Tools" menu, but as I click on IPP, it opens PS and nothing happens after that.

Eventually I've tried placing 'installer script' mention above and 'photoshop_ximage_processor_pro' in various folders containing "Startup Scripts" but nothing helps. Can someone share their working 'config' for 2025 versions?

Well... Looks like it's fine to complete 'Step 1' installing IPP into PS Scripts folder and simply rename 'Image Processor Pro.jsx' to 'Image Processor.jsx' and call it as a default Image Processor from Bridge. No additional steps needed, no more pain.

It looked like I managed to: My solution was to place the Bridge component in the standard "program files" folder instead of X86. See the paths

then, for Photoshop:

I hope it helps!

Thanks!
So does that mean I have to put BOTH the installer and the photoshop_ximage_processor_pro files in that newly created folder?
Because, with just the installer it doesn't work. (having put the photoshop_ximage_processor_pro file in the photoshop folder of the above path, instead of the Bridge one, as per the official instructions), neither it does with putting both files in there to be honest.

The DrBrown's folder shows in the tools, with 4 tools in there, but the tool isn't doing anything when I select images and run it.
The one situated in Photoshop (in automate) works perfectly, so I have a back up plan while I try to find some time.

I must admit I haven't had the time to uninstall everything to reinstall it as per DrBrown's website.

For whatever reason the photoshop_ximage_processor_pro.jsx doesn't put the Image Processor Pro into the Tools>Photoshop menu in newer Bridge versions.

Since you already installed the Image Processor Pro for use in Photoshop, i would download the DR BROWNS SERVICES INSTALLER under CS6/CC Adobe Photoshop Panels & Actions from here:

https://russellbrown.com/scripts.html

Then unzip the Services_Installer_2.3.1.zip, go into the Manual_Installation folder and copy the Dr Brown Services.jsx

to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Startup Scripts CC\Adobe Bridge 2024

Now in Bridge 2024 go to Tools>Dr Brown's Services 2.3.1 and you should see Image Processor Pro listed.

Thank you, I have downloaded it.
However, it's weird because I used the "revised version" from source forge (This is the one everyone pointed me too)
https://sourceforge.net/projects/ps-scripts/files/Image%20Processor%20Pro/v3_2%20betas/
In addition, there is no "bridge 2024" folder in the path you mentionned. (there is one in ...\program files\ common files... though)

It's a freshly installed brand new computer.

I took the leap and installed it in the \program file\ common files... instead of \program file X86\ common file
Alongside the installer and I got it!
However, when I launch it nothing happens (it opens photoshop and then nothing)
So I will start the whole install again, using the files from DrBrown's website instead..

I'll report here...
