Protect favorite folders in Bridge

Question

Hello, I use Bridge 9.1.0.338 and use the Favorite function. Some of my favorite folders are located on a external drive. When I forget to connect the drive before clicking a favorite, it will be deleted without any chance to cancel nor to see where the favorite folder was located.
Is there any possiblity to protect the favorites?

Hi Stefan,

Yeah, this has bit a number of people.

Here's one solution to use up until they actually fix it. Make an alias or shortcut (depending on your system) of the folder onto your hard drive. Then make this alias folder the link in your favorites. Thus, when you try to access this in Bridge, the alias is sitll there even if the alias' link is gone.

Please see if that works.
