I'm extremely frustrated that despite extensive online research, including Google, YouTube, and the Adobe community forums, I've been unable to resolve this issue. While editing hundreds of photos in Adobe Bridge, I've noticed that as soon as I apply a rating star (1, 2, 3, etc.) to an image, it inexplicably moves to the very bottom of the non-rated photos. This forces me to constantly search to find where I left off and locate the image I had previously selected and rated.

Do you have your "Sort by ..." setting set to "Sort by Rating" ?
Perhaps try "Sort by Date Created" instead.

I have this same problem but the image doesn't move to the bottom, just forward about 5-10 images. I have my sort by set as date created so a rating shouldnt effect it. I am on the most current version.

OK, this is officially a "wierd" one. So, IN GENERAL when things are acting especially wierd, it's time to do one or both of teh following. Neither may fix the issue, but when you're driving and the car starts to make flumping noises and wobbling a bit, the first thing you check is the tires. So, in no particular order:
#1) Tools -> Cache -> Purge cache for folder xx.
#2) if #1 doesn't work, try resetting the Preferences.
Quit Bridge if Open. Just before clicking on Bridge in the Dock or double-clicking the application for the Mac, press Command-Option-Shift. For PCs, press Control-Alt-Shift. Then open Bridge, BUT KEEP your fingers on those keys until you see a window pop up. From the window, the options are: “Reset Preferences" and "Purge All Local Cache Files.” In your case, check both of them.
Let us know what happens, thanks.
