I use ACR w/ Photoshop 2026. My workflow is to open RAW files from bridge into ACR. Its hard to get a general feel for some images without opening them in ACR and making a few edits. But for images that are open in ACR, is there any way I can save the rating, even if I don't open the image in Photoshop? I may want to come back to the pics later based on rating without opening them in Photoshop.

Hi, @zoutv, a rating (or label) should not be removed by running it through ACR. I do that all the time and have never lost either yet.
If you have to look in ACR to see if the image validates a rating, at what point are you adding the rating (and how)?
Also, a few other ideas to toss out here, but I am just tossing these out because maybe it's possilbe that they might be part of the issue, but I'm fully guessing here:
If you need instruction on any of these, please ask and I can help.
Let me know what you find,

Thanks. I should of mentioed I don't rate the images in bridge first, uaully in ACR. So I don't have anything to 'fall back on' already rated in bridge if I close out of ACR.

OK, more questions (sorry, but I'm looking for various angles here that might/can cause this to happen.
Please note: ALL of these are guesses, In the many years inside these forums, I've not seen this issue before.
