ScriptUI Graphics

The foreground and background color in ScriptUI.graphics seem to be a little confusing.

on all controls you can set foreground color, but it doesn't actually work on window, button, radiobutton, checkbox, treeview, group

backgroundColor can not be set for button, iconbutton, radiobutton, checkbox, treeview

didn't check everything, but is there a way around this. Also I'm testing CS3, has this changed cs4

Thanks

In CS3, the behavior you're seeing is host-app specific.

You can do pretty much anything with foreground/background colors in ESTK and Bridge, for example, but not in InDesign.

I have done a thorough test in IDCS4 yet, but the foreground and background color stuff does seem to work.

Running In The ESTK 2 Only The Following Controls Allow Setting Background Color. The Window, Panel, Group, List Box, Drop Down View. The Rest Return A Message "Cannot Set Background Color Property For This Element Type".

You have documentation for features that don't exist.

Consider yourself lucky!

Usually we don't have documentation for features that do exist.

Can you confirm foreground color work for iconbutton does not work in CS3?
I've had to go to drastic measures because I never could get it to work.

I just wanted to fill it with color. Since you can't set the background either,
I'm out of luck.
