Scrolling and user experience issues with bridge

Engaged ,

Just jumped back onto bridge for the first time in a while. I noticed that the scrolling was really laggy and with no inertia, making it look to my client that i had an underperforming computer, very unprofessional. Also, the app doesn't seem to abide by Mac OS's guidelines for scrolling, in that you can't scroll the window when the app isn't in focus. For a file browser it's not really acceptable imo, I need to be able to browse file names and details while i have a note taking window open etc. The fullscreen button also doesn't follow system behaviour circa 2013. Is this on the radar?

Seems like a really useful app otherwise, but your audience make their bread and butter off polish and attention the details. Thats what we trade in. I'd really expect tighter fit and finish on these apps.

Hi Pat,

Please check this link and see if it helps to resolve the issue Bridge: Scrolling in Folders Tab - Jumps rather than scrolls | Photoshop Family Customer Community

You can cast your vote if you are facing the same issue and our engineering team will look into it to fix it as soon as possible.

Regards,

Sahil

Hey Pat,

I agree with you about Bridge scrolling, been an issue for a long, long time off and on but posting on this site is pretty much pointless. Here's a link to an Adobe site that actually matters: Photoshop Family Customer Community (direct link to the Bridge section)

I encourage you to start posting there with bugs, issues, etc. You can discuss issues with real Adobe engineers instead of the clowns masquerading around this hack of a "Help" site.

Hi All,

Thanks for reporting scrolling experience issue.

We have released a new version of Adobe Bridge (CC 2018) on 18 Oct 2017. The new version build number is 8.0.0.262. This version is available to install via Adobe Creative Cloud application.

We have improved scrolling experience in this version. Please install the latest version and check for issue you may have encountered. You can check all new features at https://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/using/whats-new.html (or from Bridge Application -> Help Menu -> What’s New…)

You may need to update the Creative Cloud application and restart your computer to see the updated installer.

Thanks,

Praveen Gelra
