SD card not detected

Guest
Jan 31, 2023 Jan 31, 2023

I updated my Mac Mini M1 to Ventura 13.2 and now Bridge cannot find my SD card any more - I tried with two readers that both worked flawlessly before the update, but now both trigger "device not detected" in Bridge

HEllo, please give the full version of Bridge, the brand of the readers, and the SD card.

Is it the same version of Bridge as before the OS install?

Did you try resetting the preferences of Bridge (Cmd+OPT+SHIFT as you start it?)

Or an uninstall/reinstall?

Bridge version 13.0.2.636

Two Satechi readers and one GiO, various Sandisk cards. I did not change the Bridge installation.

No, I did not try resetting the preferences, nor did I reinstall it.

To add, the cards do appear on the desktop, it is just Bridge that does not see them.

Unfortunately neither resetting the preferences nor a complete reinstall solved the problem.

Please check your Mac Preferences that you've given Bridge access to external devices. Are you on Ventura or pre-Ventrua?

I'm getting the same error and have done all that you have recommended. I also contacted Apple Support to validate that I had the permissions set up correctly.

I am having the same issue with Adobe Bridge not recognizing an SD card. Bridge has access to my external drives (as it always has). I understand there is a more recent fix to install? Although my account says Adobe Bridge has no updates at this point - the version I have is 13.0.2.636. Is there an lupdate?

I just found 15.2 in  the Creative Cloud app. I will update as soon as I get to my editing computer.

I am having the same problem on new M2 MacMiniPro running Ventura 13.2.   The CF card mounts on the desktop but the Bridge Downloader is just not detecting it.  All of the permissions were set under Privacy and Security and computer rebooted.

I have a feeling that the problem is Ventura - Apple as been restricting compatability with ExFat.

It worked fine on my 2007 iMac with CS5 I'm upgrading from, LOL.  Glad I didn't subscribe to Photoshop/Lightroom first.
