Star ratings missing after Bridge update

Before the latest Bridge CC update, each thumbnail photo in Bridge had an outline of 5 tiny stars. You could click on one of these outlined stars to give it a star rating, 3 stars, 4 stars, etc.

These star outlines are missing. There's no stars for me to click to rate an image.

How can I fix this? It could not have come at a more inopportune time. I am about to get some photos ready for holiday gifts!

Thanks for any help you can give!

Happy Holidays!

Hi terracotta,

Please try this step :-

Start Adobe Bridge and immediately press Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) until the Reset Settings dialog box appears. Select all three options--Reset Preferences, Reset Standard Workspaces, and Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache--and then click OK.

Sahil

I'm using the new 2020 release and I'm having this issue. Since the original posts about this problem are a few years old, I assume there's some bug I've triggered which someone has/can solve with this never release?

I've tried re-setting everything, but the LABEL option is simply not showing up. There's a check next to it in the menu, but it's not there.

I'm on the latest update for 2022. When taking photographs, I rate them in-camera. Upon import in Bridge, the ratings have vanished. Previously it would sort all the rated photographs to the end/bottom of the folder. Now my files are no longer rated. I have to check the file number on my camera and the correlate it with the file in Bridge.
Anyone know anything about this?

Quite easy in my opinion:

1 Step: Click on Window tab>Workspace>Reset workspace

You should see the ratings again.

I really wish that we can start getting real answers, and not just the stock response 'reset everything to factory default.' I have other settings configured. I don't want to reset the entire workspace to fix this one issue, because every time that happens 8 other settings get reverted. And we inevitably forget the names of those settings and how to acces them. Then we get stuck in an endless loop of trying to fix those settings, and being told the best way is to reset everything to factory default.

If you are getting something like 3* that means that your thumbnails are too small to list the 5 dots.  Make your thumbnails bigger until the 5 dots appear.

This worked.

If you seeing the number followed by the star like so:  4*, then make your thumnails larger to be able to directly interact with the row of stars.

Cheers mate!

I think that if you choose the FILM STRIP view instead of the ESSENTIALS view, you will get your stars back!
