Still errors in Bridge for Screen Viewing

Explorer ,
Apr 24, 2023 Apr 24, 2023

The new update of Adobe Bridge 13.0.3.693; still has bugs for entering into the full-screen preview viewing from Spacebar and tends to freeze my desktop on Windows 10. So I have to reboot my PC to clear to this bug for me to be able to move around normally again.

Hi @Pw Lucas

Thanks for reaching out.

What type of files are you working with? Did you try re-installing the application?

Start Adobe Bridge and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift until the Reset Settings dialog box appears. Select all three options--Reset Preferences, Reset Standard Workspaces, and Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache--and click OK.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Ranjisha

Hi Ranjisha,

I always work on my NEF RAW files in Bridge and have no problems before these new last three updates within Bridge.

Yes, I have done re-installing the application and it still remains with the same issue.

I ao, have done Start Adobe Bridge and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift until the Reset Settings dialogue box appears: which by the way, I have only two options to choose from, that I can see: Reset Preferences and Purge All Local Cache Files.

So? - Wheres the "Reset Standard Workspaces" please?

My graphic card Radeon RX 580; is up to date and so is my Windows 10, for all its drives.

Well, at least I know that I am not the only one on here, with the same issues, since from the last new updates for Bridge. So, I will be very glad when they get to sort this issue out and get back to normal Screen Viewing again.

I've done 'Reset preferences' and all the options that you can do and have in the Preferences Settings in Bridge.

And the outcome still remains the same.

No, it has not solved my problem.

Adobe Bridge 2023; is full of issues for purging RAW files and for Screen Viewing, which it starts to freeze my desktop on Windows 10 when viewing my RAW files within Bridge.

So, the big question? - When will the Adobe Engineers team are going to fix it?

I have never had these problems before, since the last two updates for Bridge.

if you ask me, this is the worst new updates and for making new adjustments I have known.

So, please ask your Adobe Engineers team to get back to the basics for Bridge to work within Photoshop normally again.

Also, since I have just upgraded to Photoshop CC, from Photoshop CS6? - It makes me, wonder was it worth it.

Thank you for sharing the feedback.

Could you please tell us more about the workflows in which you are facing this issue.

Also, please try the following steps for fixing this issue

1. Go to the preference dialog (keyboard shortcut : Cltr + K (win) or Cmd + K (mac))

2. Go to Advanced tab

3. Enable Use Software Rendering

4. Relaunch App to check if it fixes the issue.

Regards,

Sorry to say: I still seem to be stuck with this issue of freezing and crashing down and leaving me a dump file.

Even after installing Bridge 12.0.4 and still remains the same with the problems of it freezing and crashing down and leaving me a dump file.

So, please when are the Adobe Engineers team going to finally fix this issue?

Because never had any issues or problems last year with Adobe Bridge for editing RAW files and for viewing them within Bridge.

Another question I would like to ask here: Is the Adobe Engineer's team still the same individuals that worked on Adobe Bridge 2022 and for 2023 one now?

Because this worst Adobe Bridge 13.0.3.693 for 2023, I have ever encountered from them!

And this does not justify the subscription costs we are paying and making for Photoshop or fare to still be left having these problems to deal with.

My regards,
Paul.
