Updating copyright year in Photoshop

I have updated my 2023 copyright info in all of my cameras. I also updated my Metadat presets to use the 2023 copyright year. However, all of the photos I download atill have the 2022 copyright year, and I have to manually change every single photo to 2023. Yes, I can select all the downloaded images I am working on and go to Tools and select Metadata preset, and it will change them to 2023, but I should not have to do that. They should download with the 2023 copyright, which is in all my cameras and in the Metadata preset. This did not happen when 2021 changed to 2022. What do I do to make all of my downloads use my 2023 copyright year?

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback.

We are investigating this issue.

There is an option to add copyright year in Photo Downloader. Please try that option.

Thanks,

Bridge Team

I believe you have hit the nail on the head! Today when I used the photo downloader, I did see in Advanced Dialog the copyright year.

How are you copying photos from the memory card to the computer?

I have a USB CF Express card reader and am downloading from the card to Pictures in Bridge on my desktop PC. I have updated the copyright on all three of my cameras. I have changed the Metadata Preset template, also created another metadata template called Copyright 2023, and I can update the copyright year on individual photos by selecting either of those presets, but I don't want to have to manually update the copyright on my images.

I find the Photo Downloader to be buggy and don't even use it, I just manually copy photos and then batch apply the metadata template. For whatever reason, Canon doesn't support a proper copyright symbol when changing metadata directly on the camera.
