Bridge 2019 Colour Themes

In Bridge 2018, it was possible to adjust the colour theme of Bridge with a slider, so that I could have the window frame and general interface black (which I prefer), but have the background (behind the thumbnails and previews) white, so that I can easily and visually spot any off-whites against the white background of bridge.

It was very flexible in how you could adjust the colour of the different parts of the interface.  Now, there seem to be only 4 choices; black, dark grey, mid grey and light grey.  Anyone figured out how to change the background colour to white in this version?

I do lots of e-commerce shooting where I could judge the whiteness of my images against the white background of Bridge.  But now I can't seem to do that.

Correct answer Lumigraphics

The Bridge team changed the UI to match the rest of the Creative Suite. There is no way to go back to the old settings.

For me it is also very important to adjust the background colour to my need, in particular to adjust images for different exhibiton rooms with different wall colours and lighting situations. The possibility to choose different background colours for the working / presentation area and the menu is also very helpful.

Fo this, I switched back to the 2018 version!

Is there a way to vote for this feature? So annoying when Adobe changes something and makes it worse

Adobe is aware. they changed to a new, modern UI framework and the old UI is dead. Don't expect it to return.

Will return to Version 8. The image within the grid is what is important. A frame surrounding it draws attention to the design theme. Very distracting when trying to compare and select images.  It is like in the old days, when looking at slides on the lighttable. Retro in general is a nice design concept. In this case it takes away from the functionality of the software. Please change it!

Hello ishagoyal,

avez-vous trouvé une solution pour la l'Interface des Vignettes Bridge, c'est juste pas possible de travailler sans "Fond Blanc" et ce gris du fond de vignette ne correspond à rien....

Merci de votre réponse

Overall, I like most of the changes to Bridge 2019. It's going to take some getting used to, but in general things are an improvement.

That being said, not having a true black or true white option for the Content and Preview panels is a huge oversight. Seriously, what other program out there doesn't allow you to preview your files on a black background? This choice is just bizarre.

This is a huge miss on adobe's part.

Anyone have any work arounds to format bridge to have a white background without downgrading to 2018?

After all these answers, I turn 9 and I return to 8. The new interface is null

Same issue, i have to check tons of Images with white backgrounds for mistakes and the old setting with the white background was perfect for quickly finding small mistakes. Adobe please bring this back! Updates are meant to make things better and more efficient

Hoping this issue will be resolved in the next update

Been asking for the ability to change the color of preview panel for 15 years.

I have given up.

I'm in the same boat, I need a white backdrop for Bridge! They can lock the rest of the UI theme colors to whatever they want but atleast let me customize the thumbnail backdrop to a specific color.

And now we get stupid 'retro' slide squares around the thumbnails. I've always prefered Bridge + ACR for my RAW editing as it's been free of that pointless fluff and got the job done much faster. I used to be able to quickly remove all the text (Ctrl/Cmd+T) and do a screen grab of the thumbnails on white to integrate into a document. Now we lose useful options and gain a silly antique UI. Sad where Adobe is going (for its users...).

A better idea would have been to get rid of the old fashioned 35mm slide frames from LR. Most young users probably don't even know what they are.
