Bridge does not preserve original file when patch renaming

I just renamed and copied 521 image files in bridge and more than half of them did not have the original name preserved in the metadata. All apps are current.

Nothing has really changed since last year:

batch renaming skips preserving some current file names in metadata

Step 1 – Preserve:

preserve.png

Step 2 – Verify all files have the preserve metadata included:

find.pngPS: You can of course also search for the absence of the preserved metadata.

Step 3 – Batch rename (once you have verified that the original filenames have been preserved)

Optional Step – If required, restore the preserved filename:

restore.png
