Replace with After Effects Comp Not working

When I enabled the new automatic masking object tool, the "replace with after effects composition" doesn't work. 

It will create a composition in after efffects, but the footage files itself won't go with it.

I am also having this issue. Seems tied to the beta masking tool.  You can turn it off, but because the file has been saved in that version, you can't open up the project again.  Please fix this, it has really messed up my workflow.

My workaround was to unfortunaly download the non-beta versions and to be able to open Premiere's file I exported as a XML from beta and imported in non-beta
