Premiere (v24 and v25) fails to start and shows this error: Initialization Failure sfntread library error

I've done all the opening options 1) reset app preferences 2) clear media cache files 3) reset plugin loading cache 4) disable 3rd party plugins; after reading another thread, I've deleted all the fonts in font book; I've done a clean install of Creative Cloud and Premiere, but still no luck.

I'm at a loss, is reformatting my comptuer the only option?

Premiere Pro keeps crashing everytime I open it since I've updated it last week. It keeps showing me this message: Initialization failure sfntread library error.

I've tried everything:

-Restarting my app and laptop

-Uninstalling

-Using older versions

-clearing cache and restting preference/disabling 3rd party plugins

-signing out of my account

I'm not sure what to do.

In finder, top menu bar -> Go To -> Hit Alt / Option and keep pressing, dont let go -> Menu Item Library should appear (the one without short cut) -> Caches -> select all and delete. If you want to be safe, copy your cache into another folder first, then delete it.

> Open Premiere Pro again, it should take some time to load (just ignore freezing App message)

This worked for me, after I encountered the same error.

@Adobe Team: happened after I created a rectangle and tried to copy the color of another element.

Version 25.1

Premiere Pro, After Effects and Media Encoder will not open!

I keep getting this error (sfntread library error) and I can't find any work around anywhere!

It was working fine on Sunday and i havent used my comptuer since. I havent changed anything new or downloaded anything new.

I've tried deleting and reinstalling, shut down and restart and even tried installing previous versions. But no luck...
