I’m experiencing an error in Premiere Pro that I can’t seem to resolve, despite trying all the recommended solutions I found on Google and YouTube. I believe it might be related to the new Premiere Pro 2025 update.

The issue occurs when I try to create a project from the Project Manager to share with my team. I even tried rolling back to the 2024 version, but the same error persists. I also tested this project on a different device, but the error still comes up.

I've attached screenshots below from both versions.

P.S. I’ve already tried clearing the media cache, but the error keeps appearing.

I am attempting to consliadate years of footage (about 2 tb) onto a single drive that I can take with me to quickly find b-roll for a large client of my company's. I have basically create a premiere project that has all the footage organized into bins so I can quickly find b-roll clips. The clips are a mix of BRAW and A7iv footage.

The footage is on 2 seperate large, slow HDDs. I'm trying to get everything onto a single SSD for editing. When I use project manager, I have everything deselected and unchecked so it should copy everything except preview files.

After a few hours, all of the footage is copied to the new drive, but premiere will say there was an unknown error. When I click ok, all the copied footage is deleted from my SSD. I've searched for a solution and have found no answers, I'm not sure how I'm supposed to conslidate my footage.

Hello @Fire Tribe34604411b3su,

Thanks for filing the bug report. I'm not sure what the error code means. Sorry about that.

The team might need more information from you to determine the issue. See, How do I write a bug report?

I think a corrupt media file is holding up the show. You might try a test to track down this errant file. Export half the project and see if it works, then export the second half, and so on, until you've tracked down the errant file.

I hope we can help you with this issue soon.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hello,

The Premiere Pro Project Manager works sometimes and other times for various reasons it could not work .. but the "unknown error" does not give enough information to know why ..

For .braw footages especially it doesn't work. You can use our Autokroma third party plugin "PlumePack" for Premiere Pro instead ! If you just want to copy your clips, the FREE version should be enough for your needs !

With the Premium (paid) version, you can do A LOT of other things though. One of this thing is : trimming your .braw clips without re-encoding ! So you save disk space by only keeping the use part of your .braw files in your project (removing unused frames), without altering the quality and your .braw files stay .braw files (no re-encoding).

Give it a try ! More info on our website : https://www.autokroma.com/PlumePack

Best,

Nicolas from Autokroma

Project export isnt working in the latest update. Its a super simple export, one layer, about 10 clips, no effects or nests etc.

Keeps giving me the error - 1610153880

I'm getting this same error message while trying to use media manager. Was there a fix or workaround for this?

Hey there, @PolkaFever,

Thanks for writing in. Can you try a render and replace of the AE comp in your timeline and try again? I hope that helps. Let us know!

Cheers,
Kevin

Sorry, @Kevin-Monahan ,
There wasn't time to waist on the Project manager tool. Had to do the whole thing the manual hard way and move on. Don't know if render>replace would have fixed it. I doubt it when looking at some of the other posts here using less complex sequences.

Hope the team figure this out.

Hello dear community
I've been having the usual error while trying to Collect a project. I've seen this error many times in this community, on Youtube, etc, and tried everything and followed every tutorial. Still this is happening... Do you think you can help?

What I already tried:
- Cleaning cache

- Importing project into a new project

- Unchecking "Include audio conform files" and "Include preview files"

- Changing the project folder and project name (that's how desperate I am)

- Reinstalling

- Importing project into a new project

- Unchecking "Include audio conform files" and "Include preview files"

- Changing the project folder and project name (that's how desperate I am)

- Reinstalling

=> You can also try to :
- Flush the "Plugin Cache" (Open Premiere Pro and maintain the "Shift" key of your keyboard, you will see this option)
- Remove Caption Presets from your project
- Select your desired sequences and click on File ->Export->"Selection as Premiere Pro Project .." then Collect & Copy from this new proejct

Otherwise, if you just want to Collect & Copy, you can try the free version of our third party plugin for Premiere Pro called "PlumePack" it should work (it does not use the Project Manager and is actually better ! Can include more useful Data, better options to select what you want to keep, handles nested sequences recursively, etc..) More info in this article.
