P: Export ignores image sizing "resize to fit short edge" setting when source image is a DNG

output format will be jpg.
If source file is jpg it works.

This happens only(!!!) if "don't enlarge" is checked!

This issue should have been fixed in Lightroom 5.4 or later. Are you up to date with Lightroom 5.6?

I just solve the problem:

1- In Grid View you have to select Sort photos by "Aspect Ratio"
2- Select all Portret photos
3- At Export - Resize to Fit - Width & Height and enter the dimensions you need
4- You can let the Don't Enlarge box checked if you need it
5- After export Portret photos, select the Landscape photos and in the resize box at the export swich te width with height dimensions.

Thank you for the quick input. I'm an F5-hitting-mofo on the Lightroom update webpage lately. 😉

A well known problem at this point - for now, uncheck the "dont enlarge" box, hang in there for Lr5.4, or consider one of the other options posted in first reply.

I have this problem when exporting to JPG from converted DNG. My original NEF files (shot on Nikon D7000) can resize smaller, no problem, with "don't enlarge" checked. But my DNG files converted NEF files (shot on Nikon D4s) do not resize when "don't enlarge" is checked during export to JPG.

Running V5.3 and I just came across this. HUGELY frustrating especially since it should be something so simple! Its like the correct case statement is just never executed; Im' trying to resize all images down to a short length of 2000px, except for images that are already smaller than that.

if image.shortLength < 2000px , { continue export }
elseif image.shortLength> 2000px, {image.Resize.shortLength(2000px)}
end

Tongue in cheek on the code, but the logic is very straight forward!

The Lightroom Flickr export plugin used to resize images but it has stopped. I double-checked and I still have the plugin set up to resize images to 5 megapixels, but all of my images are ending up on Flickr in their full 18 MP resolutions.

Since my last update to LR 5.3 / CR 8.3 the export feature to reduce image size to a given width/height doesn't work correctly together with the option to not upsize them. All files were exported with their original size (doesn't matter if I enter width/height or megapixel count).
If I unselect the option to not upsize images if smaller, it works as before. So it seems if I select that option every resizing (upsize and downsize) is ignored.

I seem to have this problem with "Resize to Fit: Long Edge" and "Don't Enlarge" but not always, I assume it only happens when the photo would have been enlarged but I'm not positive. For now I just use Photoshop on the problem files but wanted to make sure this is being addressed as it is quite inconvenient.

I am merging the LR 5.3 threads together. The other thread related to this deals with LR 4.x and isn't exactly the same issue.
