Local adjustments storage location for ACR ( not LRC)

Contributor ,

I have tons of Local adjustments presets ion Lighjtroom. Surprisingly, they do not appear in ACR ( ACR and LRC share the develop presets). I am unfortunate to find where the Local adjutments for ACR are stored so that I can copy my LRC adjustments to ACR.

Thank you for your wise help

Adobe Camera Raw stores adjustments in Sidecar files (xmp files stored alongside the raw image files).  You can set Lightroom to automatically write changes into XMP so that Camera Raw can read them

I appreciate you answering and I have to thank you for your time. But I am not talking about LRC I am trying to locate WHERE ACR local adjustment presets are stored. I cannot find them. My goal is to have the same local adjustment presets in LRC and in ACR.

Thank you.

As Dave said. In ACR they are stored in the sidecar xmp file.

Lightroom doesn't use this sidecar, it stores eveything centrally in the catalog. That's why you don't see Lightroom adjustments in ACR, or ACR adjustments in LrC.

To have interchangeability, set LrC to write to xmp. Then it will be visible in ACR (but unfortunately also slow Lr down a little bit).

Thank you so much. I may have misunderstood Dave answer. I think I will set LR to write XMP and switch back after I found the Prests in ACR. I believe this will answer my question.

The temporary solution I used was to re-create my most used presets in ACR. But redious obviously and a weak workaround.

Thank you both of you I do appreciate your kind support.

Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Local Adjustment Presets

Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/LocalCorrections

They're still using .LrTemplate files for Local Corrections in Lightroom, which are not compatible with the XMP files used by Camera Raw's local corrections.
