I have installed the Camera Raw update today for PS Beta. All of the new features are here except the Adaptive Profiles. I have checked the technology preview box and rebooted PS and even rebooted my computer. What am I missing? I only have the option of Color and Monochrome.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Profiles only apply to RAW files. If you have opened your image file in ACR and it is only showing Color and Monochrome Profiles, then your file is not a RAW file. If you have already opened your (RAW) file in Photoshop and then opened it in the Camera Raw Filter, once again this is not a RAW file, so only Color and Monochrome Profiles are available.

When I open the ACR from Adobe Bridge, selecting a .CR2 file, I can see Adaptive Profile. But if I open the same .cr2 file from Lightroom Classic as a smart object in PS and then double-click the Smart Object (as has been suggested) I only see color and monochrome options and not the Adobe Adaptive profile.. It's a raw file and yet it doesn't show this.. I am confused.

I just tested opening a .NEF raw file from LrC into Ps as a Smart Object. Double clicking the Smart Object layer opened ACR and the usual raw profiles were available, including Adobe Adaptive (beta). I also tried a .CR2 file and had no problems with that either.

I did request the deletion of my post. Error on my side. A non-raw file accidentally was lying in my raw file folder. Works well with raw files. Sorry.
