This post applies to Camera Raw.
Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Ecosystem feedback can be found here.
Previous Early Access Feedback can be found here.

Generative Remove makes it easier to remove unwanted objects and distractions with a simple gesture, even on complex backgrounds. For more accurate results, be sure to include the object's shadow in your selection and/or expand its size.

Detect Objects uses AI to find the objects underneath a brushed area. The masked areas will now appear larger than the Early Access version of this feature. You can also circle objects for quicker selection now.

We have also updated the spot selection experience to make it easier to manage variations, switch the fill type, refine the selection area, or re-generate as needed.

Batch updating is also now supported for Generative Remove spots.

As Generative AI analyzes portions of the image that have been cropped out, Camera Raw has the ability to toggle Show Uncropped Image is now available to guide you in your Generative Remove selection.

Try out the latest updates and share your feedback with us here. Please also include the following details in your post:
  • App version
  • System details
  • Example image(s) if you wish to share

Our team continually monitors this thread to track issues for future improvement. Thanks!

I try to remove 2 of the 4 people in the photo, but it keeps replacing with some funny new characters...not being able to do the required job. In some photos it does an excellent job.  ?????

The result is looking good but the grain is not matching the rest of the picture.

I used "Select-Sky and then tried to replace the sky with a generative one, but the Generative Fill (not remove) kept altering the building, trees, roads also. This is in Photoshop Beta 26.2

Lightroom is unable to remove this cable. I tried a few times, but end result is that the cable stays there, no change!

Tried using this tool to remove limbs and grass surrounding a black bear cub...  After multiple issues, my screem turn solid orange!!! Press the escape key and returned me to main RAW screen and lost all edits!!! Not Good at all!

Yeh, I am now having the same issue since the new update. It is saying "the system administrator isn't allowing access to this feature right now. Please contact them for more information." What's going on? Cheers

It’s a shame that AI is only integrated for object removal! A localized generative AI would be very welcome! Until that happens, Luminar Neo will remain No. 1… (with regret).

I'm wondering about guidance/tips for the use of Generative Remove with the new "AI Enhance/Denoise-on-the-fly." Previously, I'd always Enhance prior to using Generative Remove given that the latter would generate three entirely new variations post-Enhance.

Is the guidance with the new AI Enhance the same, essentially? Just to be absolutely sure you have the level of AI Denoise you want prior to using Generative Remove, as any tweak to the Enhance settings will require a regeneration of the Gen Remove variations. It makes sense, and basically matches the previous situation of "pick your denoise level once." However, I want to be sure I'm not missing anything.

To this, I'd be curious if there's some thinking about how to more directly manage AI layer upon AI layer upon AI layer of edits in the future...
