For a complete overview of camera support in Photoshop and Lightroom, visit the following article:

Why doesn't my version of Photoshop or Lightroom support my camera?

  1. Make sure your version of Photoshop or Lightroom is updated for the latest camera support.
  2. If you own an older version of Photoshop or Lightroom, Adobe provides backward compatibility for the latest cameras through the FREE Adobe DNG Converter.

Note: ETAs for specific cameras are not available

iPhone 16 was released 2 weeks ago with plenty of fore-warning. Why is there no update to the camera RAW files?

With Adobe Max on the horizon, you can be sure there will be an update soon.

Great, but it would be more useful now rather than waiting for some PR talkfest. If it's ready to go, why don't they just release it?

I have been waiting to hear when the Canon R5 Mark II was "supported" in Lightroom Classic and Photoshop. I wasn't sure if those two programs were "ready" for that camera yet. Anyone know of an issues with using either program with my R5 Mark II?  Please don't get technical - I'm not great with technical "stuff" - just didn't want to waste my time trying to edit  and find out the camera wasn't supported, or whatever you call it!  😉

@CarolinaTexan: "I have been waiting to hear when the Canon R5 Mark II was "supported" in Lightroom Classic and Photoshop."

Support for the Canon R5 Mark II was added to LR Classic 13.4 / Camera Raw 16.4:

If I have the correct camera, then LrC v13.5 is required and that is just preliminary support. This per:

and a note on preliminary support:

"Preliminary support means that the image quality and raw format support for the given camera model is not yet finalized and may be updated in a future release."

And this is not a bug, just a not completely supported camera at this point.

Having done some research, it appears that Lightroom doesn't (yet) support the NIKKOR Z 28-400mm f/4-8 lens.

I know it's a new lens and support won't be immediate, but I can't find anything that says when support might be available.

Does anyone know anything about when support for the lens might be available?

Thanks,

Andy

Lens profiles for Nikon Z lenses are built into the raw files, and applied automatically by LrC.

These profiles correct for distortion and chromatic aberration, but not for vignetting.

At least that's the case for the lens I've got, the 24-70 f/4.

I'd never noticed that. Thanks for pointing it out.

Adobe never lets it be known in advance when a particular camera will be supported. You don't have to like it, but that's how they do things.

According to this, the Pixel 8 Pro DNG files have preliminary support in Lightroom Classic version 13.1. If you're having problems with this preliminary support, please be specific and detailed. Show us examples. Make one of these dng files available to all of us via DropBox or similar sharing service (provide us with the link) so we can see what you are seeing.

Hi.

When will Light Room and PS be able to read the RAW files from the new Sony ILX-LP1  camera ?

Found some bugs on latest lightroom with ios 17 both on iphone and ipad when reading image from SD card.  My camera is a7c2 with latest firmware.

For raw file, lightroom cannot generator thumbtails when resized images for further checking.

For heif file, lightroom cannot import images in portrait rotation. FYI, thumbtails for heif images inportrait rotation taken by a7c2 also had display bugs in iOS's Photo.

However, editing such images is fine(excepted those cannot be imported). Some people claims that is was introduced by iOS 17 and everything goes well in iOS 16 but I cannot comfirm that.

Hoping for replies and solutions

@axl*  The 16.3 Public Beta does not have additional camera/lens support. It only offers access to the Early Access Content Authenticity functionality.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
