For a complete overview of camera support in Photoshop and Lightroom, visit the following article:

Why doesn't my version of Photoshop or Lightroom support my camera?

  1. Make sure your version of Photoshop or Lightroom is updated for the latest camera support.
  2. If you own an older version of Photoshop or Lightroom, Adobe provides backward compatibility for the latest cameras through the FREE Adobe DNG Converter.

Note: ETAs for specific cameras are not available

Hey, there is still no full RAW support for the Sony A7V. I have clients waiting. Is there a timeline, when there is full support for its raw files? Converting all photos is not an option and not working as it is supposed to.

Really appreciate your help.

LR NOT SUPPORT Nikon ZR

LR doesn't support the photos taken by Nikon ZR. When will it be supported?

Hoping for Vivo series phones in the future, at least the X200 Ultra series. Currently they are some of the best phone cameras on the market.
All the cameras on the phone have 'large' (by phone standards) sensors behind their lenses. Hoping to see them get support in Camera RAW soon.

Thanks in advance!

They also have a decent 7% global market share.
Not that obscure of a brand, but not popular outside of Asia.

I cannot open OM-5 Mark II RAW files even after installing ACR 17.4.2 plugin on MacOS.  What should I do?

@malcolm_4958: "cannot open OM-5 Mark II RAW files even after installing ACR 17.4.2 plugin on MacOS. "

Do you mean that after installing CR 17.4.2, you can't open the raws in LR Classic or LR Deskotp? The two LR apps have their own version of the CR engine built-in, and updating the CR plugin used by Bridge and Photoshop won't affect LR Classic or LR Desktop.  You'll have to wait until new versions of those apps are released, probably this week or the next. (I have no inside information.)

LR 14.5 just released. It may take some hours for it to show up in your Creative Cloud desktop app.

It has been nearly two m onths since the release of this new camera but there is still no support for it's RAW files (.orf) in LR Classic. I find that somewaht extraordinary - please release an update ti include this latest OM file format Adobe. I know I can use Bridge, but that is a truly clumsy system and I can't wait to use my normal workflow with this camera. Frustrating!

Adobe published normally updates for Lightroom (including support for new camera) at intervals of approx. 8 weeks.

The latest update was released at mid of June so the next update should be released in the next one or two weeks.

Adobe doesn't give any informations about the release date, so we have to be patient and wait

Thanks for that info. I can't wait!

I have cross posted this to the Camera Raw forum. There seems to be a bug in either LR or Camera Raw supporting these ARW files. Camera Raw 17.4.2 claims to support them. They open in Camera Raw in Photoshop2025 . Lightroom Classic 14.4 does not recognise them. All on Mac OS 15.5.

Lightroom and Camera Raw are two things. Lightroom has a buildin Camera Raw and must be updated separately.

At the moment Lightroom doesn't support Sony's RX1R III. I think the update will be released in the next few days. Adobe doesn't published the exact release dates.

Well, I learnt something today. After all these years, I had no idea that Lightroom Classic had a built-in Camera Raw that did not update when Camera Raw is updated. Thank you for the heads-up.

I got an OM Systems OM-5 Mark II, which was just released in July 2025, and I am unable to import the ORF files into Lightroom, even though ORF files should be supported. When I try to open the photos in Lightroom it says "this file does not contain a supported format." Is anyone else having this issue? I have the newest version of Lightroom (8.4).

For anyone else having this issue, I have found the answer. The OM-5 Mark II is not yet supported by Lightroom, but it will be in the future, so I just have to be patient. See list of supported cameras here: https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html#sa_src=web-messaging

@Nishamon, support for a new camera from a leading manufacturer typically comes in the LR release following the release of the camera or, less frequently, the second following release. A new version of LR comes out about every 8 weeks, so we might expect to see LR 14.5 around the week of August 11. (I have no inside information on this, and Adobe never announces such things ahead of time.)

Meanwhile, you can use the OM Workspace software to convert raws to TIFFs and import those into LR without significant loss of quality.

When will Lightroom Classic be able to accept Raw images from OM5 Mark2?

The OM-5 Mark II is supported by Camera Raw 17.4.1, which was recently released: https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html

So the next release of LR will include that version of the Camera Raw engine and support the camera. LR is released about every 8 weeks, so we might expect to see LR 14.5 the week of July 11 August 11 or so. (I have no inside information.)

ACR is opening pretty much files from every camera on the planet, including files from most phase one digital backs.

but ACR does not support the raw files. please add support

@mirko_7019's original subject line, which got lost in the merge with this thread:

"support for phase one achromatic+, first generation, in ACR missing "

@mirko_7019: "phase one achromatic+, first generation"

Please provide a link to a page with the official product name. Neither phaseone.com nor the Wikipedia page listing all Phase One cameras contains the string "achromatic+".

Hey, everyone!

I recently upgraded to the Sony FX3A but the RAW files dont seem to get recognized in Lightroom Classic
They are in Photoshop, though, so camera raw is up to date, but in Lightroom it doesn't seem to work

Any easy fix? (besides the obvious ARW - DNG converter)

July 16, 2025

I don't think @Sameer K 's statement that "Camera Raw supports the Sony FX3, but not the new FX3 A revision/updated variant" agrees with Adobe's list of supported cameras. https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html

According to that list, Camera RAW does support the raws from the Sony FX3A, but at this time, Lightroom Classic does not support the RAWs from Sony FX3A

@tomásc20524392,

Building on @dj_paige's reply, upload a sample raw straight from the camera to Wetransfer, Dropbox, Google Drive or similar free service and post the sharing link here. With that, we can verify that other LR and CR installations aren't opening Sony FX3A raws and file an actionable bug report.
