Question

RAW files won't download

I'm not sure if I'm in the correct group...

I am trying to add photos from a Scandisk to Lightroom.  The images are raw files and I keep getting the message the format is not compatible.  This only happens with Raw files.  Any ideas why?  Thanks in advance for any help.

Can you copy these files from the memory card to your drive using the Finder?

Hey there, Thanks for reaching out.

I'll need more details to help you. What version of Lightroom and macOS are you working on? Would you mind sharing the error screenshot you get when importing images to Lightroom? Did this start happening after the application or software update?

Here is a link to a list of all the cameras currently supported by Lightroom and Camera Raw, as well as which version of either is required to support your camera:

Try the below steps:

1. macOS Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy. Then, make sure that the option for 'Removable Volumes' is checked.

2. Quite Lightroom > Open your settings > Security & Privacy > Select tab privacy and scroll down the left list to "Full Disk Access" > Add your application to the right-hand column

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Shivani
