P: Camera Raw adjustments in context of other layers

LEGEND ,

currently when you use the amazing camera raw on a layer, it opens a separate interface which is great, but... alas, if you are in need of color matching you are facing a problem because you can't see the color correction in the composite psd document until you close camera raw.

if camera raw could be applied in both windows or have a view of the composite in camera raw as one of the views at the bottom this would be amazing. (btw, spliting the views with a way to actually move the split vertically or horizontally and not the layer would be nice)

if you want an example this is same as a color correction is applied to layers as an effect in after effects.

Dear Adobe, while investing a lot of ressources in AI driven tools like the new prompt-in-functions in Illustrator (!) which are only good for amateurs or people never really work(ed) with Illustrator you should take care of us pros which pay since decades. So please fix workflow obstacles like this (and a lot of other) in this thread. The way you - Adobe -  go is really disappointing...

five years are passed and still no changes. Working on ACR without the preview on layers is useless. I am working "blind", making tries over tries until the result is the expected... please solve it asap thank you!

Up! It's been 2024 and this feature is not yet in option. This is a big help!

I remeber when Layers came to photoshop 2.5 and blew everyones minds and their RAM.

Camera RAW come on it's a basic particularly if your combining photos or even colour matching. Sure you can work around it like we did saving multiple versions and then find some bodge fix in Quark to overlay them but why do we have to when the solution is obvious.

Been needing this since I started in photoshop 15 years ago... hopefully it'll happen before I retire!

Hi, I'm a Product Manager here from Adobe. Thanks to everyone who has provided so many great comments and suggestions. Here are my takeaways for the suggested improvements here:

1. Ability to see real-time previews of adjustments

2. Ability to see the effect applied to the entire composite rather than a specific layer

Also, I'm looking to chat with a few of you 1:1, so request you to please fill up this form form so that I can reach out to chat further in detail. Thanks again!

This feature has been in there for years. Consumer versions do not have it. If you are in the right circles you get the Photoshop version of your dreams.

Is there any progress here? I think it would be extremely beneficial!

Given that Adobe still hasn't implemented this much needed feature, are folks finding any work arounds other than comping in After Effects? I'd love to hear how people are getting around this problem in the interim because my solution is a bit clunky.
