Hi,
I getting a very annoying issue where a black line appears on the edge of .mp4 videos in a html5 project. It seems to happen on some videos and not others, all videos are the from the same source, eLearning Brothers, and all added to the slide in the same way in the same way, progressive download video. I have added a image to show what it looks like. The issue only occurs when I preview in browser and the published version.
I have cleared the project cache and removed all compression settings from the project, same result.
Help!

Did you check the master slide? Can you see this line also on other slides?

Hi Lilybiri
Sorry for the delayed response, had a nice weekend away from technology
It's defiantly not the master, the line disappears once the video plays out. The black line appears on other videos in the course too only in different places and thicknesses. ‌

Did you uncheck Advanced Compression when publishing? I'm just guessing at possible causes. Since the line changes, it cannot be due to master slide nor objects timed for rest of projecT.

Yeah I turned that off and they still appear. Think I may have discovered the cause if not the solution. If I add the video to the slide but don't re size there's no black line, when I resize it the black line appears! Now to find out why...

It is always better, also for static images, not to resize in Captivate, but to create the video in the wanted resolution. BTW: what was used to edit the video?

I haven't edited the video in anyway, they were downloaded from eLearning Brothers and used 'out of the box'.
I have just used Adobe Media Encoder 2015 CC to resize them. There is still a border but I can hide it using a smart shape, wasn't able to cover up the original black lines. It's probably a encoder setting causing this new border but don't have the time to get to the bottom of it at the moment so will just cover it up
Thanks as always for the help.
