Question

Why does my image snap into place with Captivate 2017?

When I take an image from the library and bring it on the stage, I am unable to make it the size I want. It snaps into place.

Does this have anything to do with Captivate 2017's fluid boxes?  Even after I right clicked delete for the fluid boxes I still can't resize the image once it's on the stage.

I am also unable to move the image.

In addition, when I right click on the image to merge with background it disappears.

Are you in a responsive project set up with Fluid Boxes? In that case you don't have the Options to set the exact size, but the size will depend on the Fluid Box in which you inserted the image, and the properties defined for that fluid box.

That's a good question.  How can I know if I am set up with Fluid Boxes? Does Fluid Boxes come as default when I start a new project? If so, I have to learn how to turn it off.

Can I have Fluid Boxes only one some slides but not all slides? I can see the logic of not having the introduction page as not using a Fluid Box but having the remaining slides useing Fluid Boxes.

Thanks

Which type of project did you create? If it was responsive it will automatically appear with the UI for Fluid Boxes. But I don't know if you are working on a slide with fluid boxes at all. Most themes packed with CP have fluid boxes set up: always for quiz master slides and for most content master slides. The only theme that has no fluid boxes is the Blank theme. The only master slide in all themes that has no fluid boxes is the Blank master slide.
