this is happening. I have uninstalled, tried previous versions and restarted machine. manged to make it work once laptop was disconnected from monitor. however when plugged back and tried to work on application it quits. i do not think anyone is paying attention, i have not seen any responses to this. this has been a problem for awhile. think this software is really great, but it is not working very well.

yes! when i go from start to pro an error occurs, it shuts down. I have tried it on 2 different locations. the only consistancy now is that is does not like any of the monitors in both home and office. i've made animations with this software and when it works, this program is good.

I've been on a different project than Character Animator for some time now (sorry if replies have been spotty recently -- I don't keep an eye on the forums like I used to). I went looking to find Crash reports from May 13th on macOS with 25.0.0 to see if I could find a smoking gun, but wasn't able to get any clues from that search.
I tried to reproduce the issue on my machine (macOS 14.7.5 with an M1 Pro MacBook) and didn't see any issue. I have a fairly ordinary Acer monitor attached as an additional screen (use as "Extended display" in the macOS Display Settings dialog). It's arranged to the left of my laptop's screen, though I tried a couple of arrangements and options to see if I could elicit any misbehavior with no luck. I didn't see anything obvious skimming the code that switches to Pro mode that'd explain it crashing so consistently at that transition. 🤔
