After Effects not bringing in Character Animator Artwork

I've made several scenes in Character Animator, and imported them into my After Effects project. It looks like the components of the scenes are importing into AE, including the animated parts - but the artwork of the puppet characters is not loading. I must have something turned off. Please help!

Are you seeing colored bars instead of artwork? If so you may need to specify where the source PSD/AI file is: https://youtu.be/7pgm_u4VkQk?t=311

If you're not seeing anything at all, that's really strange. Can you post a screenshot of what the same frame looks like in CH and AE?
