Audio Badly Lags Images

Hi there.

When recording new audio, on playback the audio lags extremely badly. What could be causing this? I've checked the hardware settings for audio inputs in the Preferences menu and everything checks out, and the computer has a huge amount of RAM and other specifications way beyond what the program needs so it's not a CPU problem. Is it possibly some kind of software conflict external to Character Animator?

I've had the same problem. Not been able to figure it out or get any help from forums whatsoever.

No idea. You are not using OBS Studio or something are you? It has the ability to add delays. Adobe Audition (if you pipe sound through that) adds delays to implement echo etc. If you record a video and play it back, do you get the lag then? Or is it only while building up a scene and reviewing in the Scene panel?

Are you running Mac or Windows?  Which version of Character Animator?

Try going to Edit -> Preferences ... and then selecting Audio Hardware.

In that panel is a latency number.  You can try experimenting with reducing this number.
