Hey guys, it´s my very first day on Character Animator and even Photoshop, but I was catched by an add of animated/talking pictures so I tried to get a deeper look into this whole topic and so there rose the follwing question, which I can´t answer myself by any research so I hope anyone could help me out with this.
I´d really love to use the Character Animator to make my 2D-NFT (.png) talking. My question is, am I just dreaming and without reengineering of the NFT itself I won´t be able to accomplish this task of is there any kind of 'import option' that I could import the existing png file so I don´t have to start from scratch.

For sure this is maybe not the easiest task for a beginner but especialy that what I want/need to do.

So very thank you for all your help.

You can certainly take the PNG and paste it into Photoshop and edit the new file. Is that what you're asking? I'm afraid that I'm not well-versed on the rules concerning NFT files.

Character Animator (CH) only works with Photoshop, Illustrator amd Fresco files. You cannot make a puppet out of a file without layers to keep all of the parts separated. Unlayered files can only be used for tasks like backgrounds for your animations, they cannot be imported straight into CH and used as a puppet.

Are you talking about .psd files? I can't bring a .psd file into the tool.

I know there have been some problems importing Procreate PSD files into the program. Is that what you're experiencing? This video helps explain the process. Creating a Photoshop Puppet (Adobe Character Animator Tutorial) (youtube.com)
