Error opening Illustrator file (Ch 1.1)

I just upgraded to the non-beta 1.1 version of Character Animator and whenever I try to open my .puppet file or my illustrator file in Character animator, I get the 'error opening Illustrator file' error.

I then tried to open and old project and the same thing happens.

I have opened the Illustrator artwork in Illustrator CC 2018 and it opens fine.

I'm running Windows 7 Pro on a Dell Latitude E7470.

Thanks

Just updating this tread with the latest status... The "Error opening Illustrator file." seems to be caused by an EPS file that's linked into the AI file. If the EPS file doesn't exist at the expected location, the import will work.

We are investigating workarounds/solutions, but nothing to report at this time.

Possible workaround: resave the EPS file as an AI file, the relink to that AI file.

Can you send a shared link (via Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.) to us for diagnosis? You can send via direct message if needed. Thanks.

Also, does the file import file into Character Animator CC (Beta 6)?

    Sent.

It was working perfectly fine in Beta 6 as of this morning. I just upgraded and then deleted the beta so I have no idea if it still works.
