How can Gary Swiercz Chicago make a transparent background in animator

i need to make a couple of moments of a puppet expressing a couple of things in a transparent background.
This is so I can send out the video to my video editing software and I can add a couple of different things to show as background.

Hey Gary Chicago!

Just make sure you're exporting to a format that supports an alpha channel. The flat h264 doesn't.

But there are many video codecs that do. (double check your Media Encoder settings to see if you have an embedded alpha channel, or you can export one separately)

Or

You can export to a sequence (like .png) that supports an alpha.
