Lip Sync stops when a trigger is being used

Problem: My character's lip sync works perfectly fine when no triggers are active, but as soon as a trigger is used the character will stop lip syncing to the audio while the trigger is being played, and will work again when the trigger has stopped palying.

lip sync still works on hand change triggers (replacing the hand pose with another.) but stops when using the trigger to wave, or moving the character in some way.

has anyone had this issue, and or know a fix to this?

Check your timeline to see if the visemes are being greyed out. There is still a chance that when you are recording a trigger, it is also recording audio and or lip sync.

I'm guessing that the trigger you're referring to is on the mouth or face? It could be that it is covering up the existing lip syncing in the timeline. Take a look at the timeline and see if the lip sync visemes are being greyed out.

my puppet has no mouth triggers at the moment. the lipsyn drop happens when i play an arm waving, or an arm moving up to point trigger.
