this has happened before, I went into settings-Ive included a screengrab. It was working earlier today. My computer is  updated my video card & ram 32 K well exceed the required. I have a Dell XPS 8930.
in settings, I disabled devices i don't have & enabled the devices that i do.

I closed & restarted the program, all other programs are shut off.
my record & playback speeds are set to 1.0

I had this problem earlier in the year I was having problems with audio & lipsynching. I deleted DISCHORD app from my computer-because it was always taking over audio.....and VIOLA no more issues.

I can't firgure the issue this time.

Thanks

Another possibility - are you using a bluetooth headset? Evidently CH and bluetooth do not play well together.

ok, but I had this problem before and I resolved it with the solutions that I stated above. What version does it say for lip synch in your preferences?  is it 3.4 as mine says, should the version be the same as the version of CH I'm running?

Are you using BT headphones? That will affect the quality of the playback. Fortunately, the recording itself will still be fine.

I think I've stumbled on the answer .In preferences LIP SYNCH says version 3.4 and the version I'm running says 4.4.

If this is the case how do I update-I clicked on box and 3.4 is as high as it goes.

ive included screen grabs.

Thanks

3.4 is just fine, though I see how that could be confusing. In version 3.4 we updated the Lip Sync algorithm, but decided to leave the old version behind in case there were some edge cases that preferred the old algorithm.

Are you on Windows or Mac?

In your Preferences, there are a few parameters that might help. We default to 48k sample rate, but other software or hardware on your machine might prefer to be used at 44.1k. We also default to a sample buffer size of 512, but if this is set too low, you will get some stuttery audio.

Finally, it might be that you're using a different audio device than you expect. On Windows, you often have the choice to use ASIO or MME drivers. On my Windows machine, the ASIO drivers work much better than the MME drivers.

well, it was working until yesterday. I have windows, what do i need to do to use the Asio drivers? I take it that your mic has to be asio. my mike is about 12 years old -it is a shure digital, maybe its too old?
