Hi,

I recently purchaced a new 16inch macbook pro specifically for Character Animator projects. Whenever I use it, with no other applications open, it completely overheats and sets the fans off which makes live streaming with audio impossible. I have approached Apple who said it was a software issue [of course]. Has anyone else had this problem and found a soloution?

Regards

Jol

Sorry to hear about your trouble.

What is your OS version and CH app version?

Does this happen only on live streaming?

And, does this happen with any project?

Thanks.

Hi... I've just added a post regarding the Wheel of Death and the heavy memory load. I used the Activity Monitor to see what was going on. You could try the same.

Apps on Dock, bottom right, find Utilities Folder, click on Activity Monitor.

Check Memory and CPU use while using CA. Compare it to other apps you are using.

Hope this helps to at least pinpoint some possible cause.
