Physics Behaviour (Particles Snow) Not Recording

Please help! I've recorded a puppet moving and added audio to it, which all works fine. However, when I try to record the Particles (Snow) behaviour as well, the Snow shows on the screen but doesn't record in the timeline - it remains empty.

How do I record a moving particle?!
