Project from 2020 not opening properly

Please help with a 2020 project that needs to be used for a new season.

Two issues: I'm getting "error: replay trigger depth exceeded" on triggers M and G, and the puppet moves weirdly on lipsync. None of these issues were present in the 2020 version that is no longer available (I went as far back as Creative Cloud allowed, no dice).

Here's a video of the bugs in action, and here's the puppet.

Can please someone take a look at this?

Okay, it looks like the "Hear Ear Sad" trigger is causing issues. If I delete that it looks like it's working again.

It looks like the M trigger references the Head Ear Sad trigger, and that has a trigger take that references the “Unimpressed” trigger (M key). So it's creating an issue because the trigger includes the replay that includes the trigger - so it's basically creating an invalid loop. It looks like G also used Head Ear Sad.

I would delete that Replay and take a closer look at the

I was able to open it in the beta version of CH, so maybe it's a problem that's been corrected. Go to the Adobe CC Desktop and choose "Beta apps" from the menu on the left. Fingers crossed. I just noticed  the audio file is missing - perhaps that's what's the source of the problem?

I have already tried the beta, no dice. Missing audio shouldn't be the issue. The project opens, but spits out the "replay trigger depth exceeded" error when M and G keyboard triggers are triggered, and the whole puppet body jumps up and down when talking. That wasn't happening. Are these happening on your machine? Thanks so much!

The up and down is happening just like in your video, but it otherwise plays fine. I can play it in the official release and the beta version as well. The only difference I can see is that I'm on a PC. Frankly, I'm stumped.

It could be some weird platform-related issue, yes. Thank you very much for your help.

The reason the lip sync is moving is probably Lip Sync > Jaw Movement. Change this to 0% and it should work as expected.

For the replay error, not sure - I'll ask the dev team.

I adjusted the Lip Sync Jaw Movement like you suggested and that does solve the problem of the up and down movement. I cannot replicate the replay error.

I would delete that Replay and take a closer look at the components, and try to recreate it in a different way to find a combo that works.

It worked in whatever version ChA was the latest in late 2020 and wasn't touched since, oh well. Thank you for your help!
