Question

What to do when you run out of alphanumeric keys to assign to triggers, swapsets and replays?

I've found that replays are one of the best ways to get consistent, smooth animations out of my characters in scenes (body tracking made this an even more useful feature).  The problem is when you run out of alphanumeric keys to use (A-Z and 0-9).  Any additional replays, triggers and swapsets I've made since have had to go untied to any key and requiring me to unassign a key from one to use on another.

With the amount of time that takes (not just the steps but the lag generated from a complex character), would it be difficult for our friends at Adobe to give us a Shift or Function key to hold down while pressing a key to double our options?

Example:
If I press "P" my character points with their left hand.  It would be great if I could assign "Shift P" to point with their right hand.

If I ask really nicely, could Adobe do that for us?  😄

You can use a MIDI controller to add more control to your puppet. Just do a search in this forum for Midi. I've heard people using game controllers in this fashion. As for suggestions, there's a link at the bottom of the right sidebar for you to give feedback to Adobe. Hope that helps!
