Virtual Webcams, and USB EOS Webcam not detected by Character Animator

I have a USB camera using EOS Webcam Utility as its driver. Many other applications on my computer can find and use this webcam with no problem (such as zoom, skype, chrome, default camera app, OBS studio, etc...) however character animator can not find this camera.

Also, OBS studio is running virtual-cams that are also seen by every application (see list above) except character animator.

System info
    Application: Character Animator v3.3.1.6
OS: Windows v10.0.18363, RAM: 31.94 GB, CPUs (logical): 8

I use 2 rigs for streaming. One for games and rendering my character, the other for processing and streaming. For demanding games, my main PC is maxed out rendering the game and character. I'd like to stream my webcam through NDI Virtual Input and let my streaming rig render the character. Though the source shows up, it gets stuck 'waiting for webcam.'

I use Droidcam that allows your phone to become your webcam and it does this by creating virtual cameras and this one does get detected, BUT the audio doesn't come through. The audio comes from droidcam as a part of the virtual camera.

The fact that this is not possible should be seen as a bug and not a feature request.

Hi, i had a similar issue with a PS3 camera i used for character animator.

I managed to "Solve" it, by installing the free version of Manycam and using it with animator.

The free version of manycam has a watermark that isn't a problem, since i don't use the camera image along with the puppet.
