Do I need a live Webcam?

Hello,

I work in an environment where I cannot have a webcam. Is it possible to pre-record a video and then bring it into character animate to use instead of using a live webcam?

Thank you!

You do not need to use only a live camera. A virtual camera, such as ManyCam, can be used to play pre-recorded footage and Character Animator can see it.

Thanks so much for the quick response. Is it possible to just use footage without using a virtual camera at all? Could I just use a video file and map the points to the "actor" in the video file?

If you want to just use the footage, you have to go to After Effects where you can track the face and use the results in Character Animator.
